In my early years as a high school yearbook editor-in-chief, I realized I loved technology and inspiring others through design. After college, I worked as a yearbook sales representative for 5 years. As I listened to feedback on the products that I worked to sell, I realized I wanted to shift my creativity toward creating products and working on making them better for the people using them.
To learn how to build products, I immersed myself in UX coursework, articles, podcasts, and books. I love working end-to-end on products and being creative with micro-interactions. I enjoy mentoring new designers through Designlab and volunteering on projects that benefit underrepresented communities.
Life outside of design: I come from a big Filipino family and originally grew up in Hawaii. In my free time, I love watching competitive cooking shows, playing board games like Settlers of Catan, and babysitting my 3-year old nephew. I also dabble occasionally in photography.
